Bianco Cave is well known from over eighty years in the field of the extraction and manufacturing of pietra leccese.

This kind of stone is a calcareous rock dating back to the Miocene period and it is a typical stone of the Salento region.

Renowned for its malleability which enables an easy processing, it is extracted from the seven extraction basins, property of Bianco Cave. The basins supply different tones of this stone. Pietra Leccese for its versatile characteristics can be used for the realization of many works mainly in the architectural field.

Among the different types of limestone there are:
Carparo which has rustic and porous features
Pietra leccese that has a straw color, it is used in architecture and sculpture. Its clay texture makes this stone easily to work on a lathe and even manually.

The Grey stone, thanks to its hardness, homogeneity and solidity, it is appreciate for classical and modern solutions.
The white stone has a refined aspect and finally the Poggiardo Stone which has marmoreal stripes.
The manufacturing and trasformation of the rough blocks are carried out in two establishments using latest generation machinery that allow the production of original decorative structures suitable for indoor and outdoor settings
